This was one of several concepts that I wrote and developed for the project, with History selecting this idea in which we capitalize on President Reagan’s inaugural address, seizing on his “history is a ribbon” line as our device to tie everything together. Creative Director Brian Eloe, Design Director Luis Martinez and the über-talented 2C team then brought the project—and history—to life. Huge shout out to Nikki Coloma for all of the serious heavy lifting tracking down all the footage.
I’ve had the great pleasure of working with 2C on more than a dozen projects over the past few years, and this one is a perfect example of just how collaboration can bring great ideas to life. ‘Cause you know, great ideas don’t write themselves!
